I am leaving

I am leaving
I am off to travel through time, across the blue‐sky ridge
To come to you whenever you imagine at the top of the wave
right to our hidden cove.
I will be the yellow pollen powder from our cypresses when you search for me by name on the stone slab.
I’ll be in the mirror of the water from our spring when you search for me from your window.

I will be the sparkle in your eyes and the warm wind on your lips.
I’ll sneak up on your thoughts unexpectedly.
I will be the cherry red as the blood in your veins.
In your hand, I will be, my letter read a hundred times.
In your memory, you will protect me from oblivion.
I will watch you when you cry for me!
